Linked to the parent contract
Successor linked to the framework agreement
A contract in an email, its signed version on a shared server, the appendix in the Drive of a colleague who has left. Nobody has the full picture.
A renegotiation, a dispute, an audit: you need to find the right document urgently, and the latest version is never the one you open first.
The original contract on one side, three amendments on the other. Knowing which terms apply today means rereading everything, in the right sequence.
The Pactolane contract repository brings your contracts together, whether imported as PDF or Word files or created from your templates, in a searchable repository where access is set contract by contract. You link each amendment, implementing contract or renewal to its parent contract, and the family is displayed in tree view; PactAI then answers your questions about the whole family.
Upload your existing contracts as PDF or DOCX files, up to 20 MB per file. Pactolane extracts the text and, if you choose a playbook, analyzes the clauses on import.
A single search covers your contracts, templates, counterparties, clauses and signature envelopes. Filters by status, team, department, source and period can be saved as views.
You link amendments, implementing contracts, renewals and interdependent contracts to their parent contract yourself. The tree view shows the whole family. Growth and Scale plans.
Every contract carries its lifecycle status, from draft to archive, along with its counterparty, its deadline and its playbook score.
Contracts you signed outside Pactolane join the repository in a few clicks, with text extraction and, depending on the chosen playbook, clause analysis.
Contracts, templates, counterparties, clauses and signature envelopes, with results grouped by category from the second character typed.
Grid, table or list. Combinable filters, multi-column sorting, ready-made views such as “My drafts” or “Urgent this week”.
Owner, editor or viewer on each contract, in addition to organization roles. Add or revoke access at any time, with each person's last login visible.
One record per client or supplier, SIREN lookup, contacts, related contracts and duplicate merging.
Parent contract, amendments with their amounts, implementing contracts, successors and interdependent contracts, in tree view.
Ask your questions about a linked family: terms in force, next deadline, cumulative amount of amendments, contradictions.
Once the parent contract is linked to its amendments and implementing contracts, PactAI analyzes the family as a whole and answers when you ask. You check its answer against the documents before acting. Growth and Scale plans.
“What terms apply today after the amendments?”
“What is the cumulative amount of the amendments against the framework agreement's cap?” and “What is the family's next deadline?”
“Are there contradictions between the framework agreement and its amendments?” and “Do the new amendments affect the parent contract's risk score?”
The Pactolane contract repository is where all your contracts live, whether they were created from your templates or imported as PDF and Word files. Each contract carries its lifecycle status, its counterparty, its deadline and, if it has been analyzed, its playbook score. You find it through search, filters or saved views, and you decide who can read or edit it.
In Pactolane, you import an existing contract by dropping the PDF or DOCX file (up to 20 MB) into the import wizard, then entering its title, your role in the contract (client, supplier or neutral) and, if you wish, the playbook to apply. Pactolane extracts the text, analyzes the structure and, with a playbook, detects the clauses and calculates the score. The contract then joins the repository just like those created in the platform. To start from scattered existing contracts, see centralizing contracts scattered across emails.
Pactolane's global search queries your contracts, templates, counterparties, clauses and signature envelopes at the same time, from the second character typed, and groups the results by category. In the contract list, you combine filters (status, period, team, department, source) and multi-column sorting, then save the combination as a view. A filtered list can be exported to CSV for a review or an audit.
In Pactolane, a contract family is the set formed by a parent contract and the documents your teams link to it: its amendments with their amounts, its implementing contracts, its renewals and successor contracts, and interdependent contracts. Linking is done by your teams, contract by contract, and the family is displayed in tree view. Contract families are available on the Growth and Scale plans (see our pricing page). For the concept, see contract family and contract hierarchy.
PactAI analyzes a contract family linked in Pactolane as a whole and answers your questions about that family when you ask. For example, you can ask it “What terms apply today after the amendments?”, “What is the family's next deadline?”, “Are there contradictions between the framework agreement and its amendments?”, “What is the cumulative amount of the amendments against the framework agreement's cap?” or “Do the new amendments affect the parent contract's risk score?”. The quality of the answer depends on how complete the family is: you check it against the documents before acting. See also PactAI.
In Pactolane, access is set at two levels: each user's role in the organization (seven roles, from administrator to viewer) and, on each contract, an owner, editor or viewer level. You add or revoke access at any time, and each person's last login date remains visible. All plans include unlimited read-only users, so you can open the contract repository to teams that consult contracts without editing them.
Contracts uploaded to Pactolane are hosted in France and Belgium, on Google Cloud, a host that Pactolane discloses transparently. They are encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM, personal data is removed before any AI processing, and an audit trail records actions. Full details are on our security page.
